"MY LUCKY STARS" The 3 Brother's Comedy Kung Fu Series!
'Winners And Sinners' came first. The Japanese title was 'Five Lucky Stars', so that's where the name of the series came from.
It's a Sammo and co film though Jackie is in it quite a lot. It's mostly comedy, you have to be used to this kind of thing to fully enjoy it, or full of budweiser, or both. However it was #1 film in Japan for MONTHS so a sequel followed.
'My Lucky Stars' is the best. Fight choreography by Sammo and Yuen Wah, cameo appearences by Bolo Yeung as the jealous husband, James Tien as the prison warden, Thai kick-boxing champ Billy Chow vs Yuen Biao, Lam Ching Ying vs Yuen Biao, Michiko Nishiwaki vs Sibelle Hu, Sammo vs the head of the great Liu clan, Liu Chia Liang , Jackie vs Dick Wei! etc, etc, etc. I thought I`d died and gone to Kung Fu Heaven!
'Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars' actually has some of the best fighting. The opening warehouse fight is remarkable. Unfortunately Jackie was injured during filming and had to take a back seat to Sammo for the final fight. But Sammo handles this incredibly well and so saves the day.
