SHOOTFIGHTER 2: KILL OR BE KILLED!

It`s the same old song but with a different meaning. Since you`ve been gone new faces have been lined up to get kicked in, but everything else remains the same.

When his son dies trying to quit the local shootfights, San Francisco Police Chief Lew Rawlins sets up a sting involving Shingo (Bolo Yeung) in order to smash ring racket boss 'Jackal' Lance Stuart's operation. They go undercover but are betrayed. They are forced to shootfight their way through the tournament until they end up fighting eachother! Lance it turns out is Shingo`s long lost brother and he throws Rawlins into the ring when he comes snooping around. Cheered on by the bloodthirsty crowd, Shingo challenges Lance to combat. Already stripped of his fortune by the heroic shootfighters' previous victories Lance accepts the challenge and the final showdown begins.

Once again, as you would expect, the shootfighting moves from Bolo are magnificent. Unfortunately the rest of the film is directed by numbers, with uninspired acting and an irritating script with every boxing cliche in the book. Fight film fans should fast forward to the fortunately fabulous fights to avoid terminal boredom.
