Wu Chien Lien

Chien Lien began her career as an artist in Taiwan, her homeland. She became known to Hong Kong audience by her excellent performance in a movie called A Moment of Romance in which she acted as the lover of the famous Hong Kong male singer Andy Lau. The movie was considered the classic romance of the year and Wu immediately became the dream girl of many youth. People was captivated by her appearance of fragility but a steel character within. She focuses her peforming career mainly in Hong Kong and has acted with most leading male actors in various movies.

Wu's acting is considered soulful and profound by general audience and movie producers. She was nominated best actress in 1994. Meanwhile she also started her singing business last year in Hong Kong and launched two albums in the same year. Both are popular among youth.
